The Blessing of Fathers

The Blessing of Fathers

Gen 49: 26

”Your father’s blessings are greater than the blessings of the ancient mountains…

I notice that the are two categories of people on earth ; those who are blessed and those who are cursed. Unfortunately it appears that curses on this side of life are more than blessings. This I believe is further entrenched in Deuteronomy 28; for even though this Scripture outlines several blessings and curses, the number of curses listed there outnumbers the blessings by 54.

We live on a cursed earth; and covid19, I believe is one of the curses of this life because it appears to have no cure. (Deut 28:27).

However the good news is that, Jesus Christ became a curse for us so that the blessings of father Abraham may transcend to the sons of promise. (Gal 3:13-14)

There are three (3) types of fathers who can speak a blessing over your life.

— Our Heavenly Father.
“The blessing of the Lord  makes  one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.”(Prov 10: 22 ) Therefore he who is blessed by Jehovah no man can curse .

— Spiritual fathers.
The priestly blessing recorded in the book of Numbers, is meant to be released by spiritual fathers to sons and daughters. The Bible says this decree by the priest is endorsed by God. (Numbers 6 :22-23).

— Human / biological fathers.
Your earthly father has the authority backed by the heavens to release a blessing over you. Isaac called for venison so he could bless his firstborn son. (Gen 27: 2-4).

Today, I speak a blessing over all those reading this devotion. I declare that no debilitating disease shall come near your house. You shall be blessed in the village and in the city. Your going outs and your coming ins are blessed; and you shall escape every evil virus in the atmosphere. May your father’s God help you in Jesus’ Name.

Say a big Amen if you receive this today!
