The Garment of Rulership

The Garment of Rulership

Rev 5:10
”And has made us unto our God, kings and priests :and we shall reign on the earth

Glory to God! I sincerely believe that
no matter who you are and whatever stage you are in your walk with the Lord, your final destination is the place of rulership.

This is because, according to our key text for today, we have been called as kings and priests unto our God, and we shall reign with the Lord. Here are a few examples of people who ended up reigning in life.

  1. By the time Jesus ended his earthly ministry, the main accusation against Him was that he claimed to be the king of the Jews.
“Are you the king of the Jews?” They quizzed..(Luke 23: 3). Then they put a purple robe on him to symbolize his royalty.
  2. Joseph ended his life wearing his garment of royalty.
Joseph’s garments were changed about four times but the good news is that he ended up being decorated as the next in command to Pharoah in Egypt. “And he clothed him in fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck.” Gen 41: 42.
  3. Mordecai began his life as a gatekeeper but ended as the second in command to King Xerxes.(Esther 10: 3).
The Bible says Mordecai at the onset could only go as far as to the king’s gate because he was clothed in sackcloth.(Esther 4:2) His faithful service however eventually catapulted him to rulership, for he was robed in royal clothes and honoured.(Esther 6:10).

Dear friend, no matter the garment that you may be wearing today, I know that you will eventually put on the garment of royalty that’s meant for you, as you continue to serve the Lord.

The Bible says, ”Awake, awake, clothe yourself with strength…..rise up, sit enthroned,Jerusalem.” (Isa 52: 1-3).

Royalty looks good on you.Rise up and put on your garment of rulership in Jesus name!
