2 Cor 6:10
”…sorrowful, yet always rejoicing, poor yet making many rich, having nothing and yet possessing everything.”
It is a known fact that life is full of contradictions and your success largely depends on how you manage the ironies in this life. Is it any wonder that Jesus had to die like a criminal in order to save humanity from their sins?
Here is apostle Paul’s own reflection of the contradictions he had to endure as a servant of God.
- Sorrowful, yet always rejoicing.
Surprising, isn’t it? I cannot tell you about the countless times I have had to deal with my own pain privately, and then rise up to preach a message that has lifted up many lives. - Poor, yet making many rich.
It’s amazing how many people prosper under a good minister and yet the minister may have little to show initially. - Having nothing, yet possessing everything.
The true wealth of the child of God is not in the abundance of things he has. The believer’s worth is knowing and experiencing Christ Jesus as Lord! Once you have Christ, you have everything.
Dear friend, no matter what you are going through this season, it is important for you to “consider Him (Jesus) who endured such contradictions of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your mind”. (Heb 12:3)
The key factor is: Do not grow weary or faint in your mind; for whatever seems to be working against you will soon work together for your good!
