The proverb 31 scripture details out a prototype of an ideal woman – a woman who is perfect by all standards: hardworking, industrious and a responsible mother and wife; one in whom her husband takes pride.
In that same text however, a profound statement is made: that a woman who ought to be praised is indeed the woman who fears God.
Could scripture be suggesting that what really counts in life and the actual value of any woman is in reality, the fear of God in her? Could the writer be stating in effect, that minus the fear of God, all the other qualities earlier touted in this prototype woman really amount to little or nothing?
What is the biblical standard of a true virtuous woman? This book may just provide the answer for you.
