Champions Remain

Champions Remain

1 Cor 13:13

”And now these three remain: faith, hope and love; and the greatest of these is love.”

We live in a fast changing world, and in my short stay on earth so far, I have seen many things hitherto lose its importance and relevance. Some of which are diskettes, vhs video tapes and cassette tapes.

Again, in my country of residence Ghana today, there are just a few companies that I recall have stood the test of time. Previously, big names like Kingsway, Glamour and UTC are unknown to the youth of today; and believe me, many more of such changes are to be expected in the world. The Lord spoke about this to me last year and I perceive covid19 will hasten these changes.

Nonetheless, in spite of all these expected changes that may occur in our lifetime; there are three things that must forever be constant.
These three things must remain.

  1. Faith
As we approach the end of times, the quality of faith, will become rare; for people will be tilted more towards common sense and reasoning. Jesus said, ”if the Son of man returns, will he find faith on earth?” (Luke 18:8).
I pray that your faith will be anchored on God’s word no matter what happens around us.
  2. Hope.
Trust me there are difficult times ahead. Many are likely to lose hope because of life’s challenges; but realise that hope does not disappoint. (Rom 5: 5). Christ in you, the hope of a glorious future. Your future is secured in Christ. Keep hope alive.
  3. Love.
”But the greatest of these is love”.
We live in a world of ingratitude, betrayal and hatred; and even though these will continue to be on the increase; beloved let us endeavour to continue to love. Love is the only quality that authenticates us, as children of God. Love will always win and conquer.(1 Pet 4 :8).

Dear friend, trust me these three: faith, hope and love, make an unbeatable team and are the champion virtues of our Christian life.

The Bible says ”the only thing that counts is faith expressing itself in love” (Gal 5: 6). The rest is noise.
Let the champions remain!
